My Quiz Cabaret Experience

Jean Cooper of Hart Plain Church

Why did you choose Entertaining People's Quiz Cabaret for your function?
Having been at a Quiz Cabaret myself, I had no hesitation in recommending it to my committee for the first big event in our 40th anniversary celebrations.

How did you find working with Entertaining People in the planning phase?
Brilliant. They were always reachable when I had a question and everything went very smoothly.

Did the event meet or exceed your objectives and expectations?
The evening certainly met all my expectations. Some of the people who supported the function admitted beforehand that they do not normally like quizzes. However, they were won over by the mix of cabaret and a rather unusual quiz.

What age range was represented by the audience and was the music well chosen to appeal to a wide cross section of the audience?
From 11 – mid 70s. I had expected the children to sit with their parents, but they asked to sit together. This could have proved problematic as they would only have been able to answer a few of the questions. However, Entertaining People came up with a way of involving the youngsters who all had a great time.

Were the questions a good mix of music and non-music, easy and hard? Was any specialised knowledge required?
The questions were not too difficult and I am someone who is notoriously bad at quizzes. This really is a quiz for those who are hopeless at quizzes as there is so much more to enjoy. I would have liked more answers to be given, but when I asked for a particular round, this was done right away.

How would you describe the standard of performance?
Thoroughly enjoyable and highly professional.

What would you say to someone considering booking their first Entertaining People Quiz Cabaret?
It’s an unusual mix of quiz and music, and most enjoyable. I recommend it.

How would you summarise your Quiz Cabaret experience?
A thoroughly good evening. The questions were not too difficult and the music was sufficiently ‘middle of the road’ to appeal to everyone.
