My Quiz Cabaret Experience

Maggie Faber of Waterlooville Golf Club

Why did you choose Entertaining People's Quiz Cabaret for your function?
I wanted something special for the end of our centenary year and had previously attended, and been impressed by, a Quiz Cabaret.

How did you find working with Entertaining People in the planning phase?
Great - no problems at all. They were very easy to work with, from the initial information and site visit, to sorting out my last minute queries.

Did the event meet or exceed your objectives and expectations?
The event actually exceeded my expectations.

What age range was represented by the audience and was the music well chosen to appeal to a wide cross section of the audience?
The audience consisted of 62 lady golfers aged from 40 to 91. Entertaining People devised a programme of music and questions that really suited everyone. There is always a danger of pitching such an evening too high or low, but this was spot on.

Were the questions a good mix of music and non-music, easy and hard? Was any specialised knowledge required?
There was a good mix of questions, both musical and general knowledge. I particularly liked the story telling and answering questions based on the words of a song. This tested our listening skills in contrast to other rounds that relied on memory.

How would you describe the standard of performance?
Fantastic. The performers managed to hold everyone’s attention from start to finish. I liked the interaction between performers and audience, especially their ability to respond to our heckling.

What would you say to someone considering booking their first Entertaining People Quiz Cabaret?
Go ahead, it’s a fabulous experience. It’s highly entertaining and suits all ages, abilities and interests. There is something here for everyone.

How would you summarise your Quiz Cabaret experience?
It was a fantastic evening, ideal for the occasion. We had questions, music, humour, even magic. There was a real buzz in the room and we went away wishing it could have lasted longer.
