Roantree provides a range of services including conference and event management, corporate hospitality, venue booking and business gifts. Their client on this occasion was a cinema chain who were taking their managers off site for a training day. The brief was to arrange an informal, fun evening which involved an element of team work.

Why did you choose Entertaining People's Quiz Cabaret for your function?
When I first met Entertaining People I recognised that they offered something refreshingly different. When I received the brief from my client, it appeared to be a very good fit.

How did you find working with Entertaining People in the planning phase?
Very good. Their corporate background helped them to understand our requirement. The comprehensive booking sheet that they sent to us set out all the details very clearly.

Did the event meet or exceed your objectives and expectations?
The Quiz Cabaret certainly met all our client's objectives and exceeded my expectations for the evening.

What age range was represented by the audience and was the music well chosen to appeal to a wide cross section of the audience?
Most of the audience was in the 25-40 age range. The music covered a wide range from Flanders and Swann to Westlife, from Sinatra to Clementine. All in all it created a very happy vibe and everyone appeared to enjoy themselves.

Were the questions a good mix of music and non-music, easy and hard? Was any specialised knowledge required?
The questions were a good mix and had obviously been carefully chosen, even to the point of including quite a bit about films. Musical knowledge was not a prerequisite to answering the questions.

How would you describe the standard of performance?
It sounded pretty good to me. I would describe them as a cross between Flanders and Swann and Hinge and Brackett. Musical and funny with a sort of comfortable, gentle humour.

You need have no concerns about their professionalism. They turned up when they said they would, delivered what they promised and cleared away without any fuss. Work with Entertaining People to discuss your objectives for the event and they will choose the content of the evening accordingly.

How would you summarise your Quiz Cabaret experience?
It was an upbeat, enjoyable evening. Great fun, very different from the usual corporate entertainment and quite informal. There was loads of lively audience participation, ideal as the participants had been in training sessions during the day.
