My Quiz Cabaret Experience

Sara Meadows of Brent Opera

Why did you choose Entertaining People's Quiz Cabaret for your function?
One of our members knew Philip and Bryan and thought it sounded like a good fund raiser for us. Even though none of us had seen a Quiz Cabaret we decided to give it a try.

How did you find working with Entertaining People in the planning phase?
Philip was very helpful and gave me precise instructions, which made organising the evening very straightforward.

Did the event meet or exceed your objectives and expectations?
The Quiz Cabaret certainly exceeded my expectations. All the feedback has been positive, even from people who are notoriously difficult to please. The most frequent comment has been that the evening was “great fun”.

What age range was represented by the audience and was the music well chosen to appeal to a wide cross section of the audience?
Most of the audience were 40 plus, but the age range was truly 8-80! The music was cleverly chosen to involve everyone.

Were the questions a good mix of music and non-music, easy and hard? Was any specialised knowledge required?
There were plenty of non-musical questions, probably the majority. My previous experience of quizzes had been a trend towards unanswerable questions. This was definitely not the case here. Everyone could answer some of the questions and no-one was made to feel inadequate. There was even a round of musical bingo. At the same time, there were a few challenging questions to please the serious ‘quizzers’.

How would you describe the standard of performance?
Philip and Bryan gave a very good, amusing and balanced performance.

What would you say to someone considering booking their first Entertaining People Quiz Cabaret?
Definitely ‘go for it’. It is something different and hugely enjoyable, run by a very efficient and talented team.

How would you summarise your Quiz Cabaret experience?
It was a most enjoyable and worthwhile evening with singing, thinking and laughing for everyone.
