“I needed entertainment for our annual social event and on the advice of some close friends I contacted Entertaining People.  My brief to them was an entertainment with a difference for an audience aged between 35 and 85.  From that first conversation it was apparent they understood what was required.  They set out to devise a programme to fit our needs and this objective was admirably achieved.

“The cabaret was in two parts.  The first consisted of a selection of songs, well chosen for the audience and superbly performed.

“The second half contained the ‘something different’ that we had publicised.  I won’t begin to describe the musical bingo, but it produced the most memorable moment of the evening.  Added to that we had magic, a competition, and two most impressive pieces of communal singing.  In an amazingly short time we were taught a traditional African chant, followed by a sea shanty, which we sang in 2 parts.  The results were impressive and uplifting.

“The professionalism of Philip and Bryan was outstanding from start to finish.  Their musicality and humour were appreciated by all, as was the warm, inclusive feeling they created between themselves and the audience.

“In summary I can say that it was a wonderfully different evening embracing all age groups.  The atmosphere was lovely and the performers made the audience feel involved from the outset.  My expectations were high, and they were exceeded.  Many of those who attended have already been on the phone requesting a repeat performance, which we hope to do in the not too distant future.”
